The Finishing Line

To download the latest update, click on the Version number below. This will allow you to download the update file to your computer. You can then double click on the downloaded file to implement the changes. The new version will not affect the data you have recorded in your database, however, it is always recommended that you should have a current back up copy of your .mdb file.

The Finishing Line is distributed and supported by Rossdhu Business Systems Pty Ltd on a "best endeavours" basis.

The Finishing Line uses Chilkat software to access the internet. On initial installation you will need to download and install the necessary software. To do this click on the following link: Chilkat Software and unzip the contents. You should then run
c:\Temp\ChilkatRegister.bat to register the new software in your computer.

To bring your system up to date, you can download the latest update from the list of updates on the left hand side of this page. You do not need to have downloaded previous updates.

A new feature is available on the Race Day Processing/Reports menu which uploads the current handicaps or Fall numbers to the Sportspage website.

Laps for each boat are shown on the results sheet when Laps are being used.

When you are calculating Average Handicaps a new feature is available which allows you to reset and start the process again in the event of incorrect data in the races being used to create the average.

When creating races for a multiple race day the race day numbers are given 2 digits to allow for more than 10 races.

The parameters to allow recalculation of Fall numbers and to indicate a multi-lap event have been moved from the parameter screen to the Division screen.

An option has been added to the Division screen which allows Fall numbers to be recalculated each time the handicaps are updated.

Some changes have been made to the Handicap Recalculation report to highlight relevant BCYs.

An error in the display of results for a day when there are mulptiple races has been corrected.

When a race involves multiple laps the number of laps for each boat is retained for use if reprocessing is required.

Introduces the facility to run a Mixed Fleet on yardsticks. The yardstick is applied to both elapsed and corrected time removing the need to run as 2 separate fleets. This feature can only be used when all boats in the fleet have a valid yardstick.
