1)             RULES:  The event will be sailed under the Time Trialling Rules Edition 2014 revision 1 (as amended from time to time) of the CPYC of YWA, applicable at the event starting time and as modified by the Sailing Instructions.  Conditions contained in this notice of event may be varied or added to and referred to in the Sailing Instructions.  A copy of such rules is available on the Sportspage web at www.sportspage.com.au/pyc/pyc/pyc_home_page.html .

 

2)            ENTRY FEE:  NIL

 

3)      ENTRIES:  All team members nominated by clubs will be automatic entries in the championship heat of that day.  Power yachts not selected in their club’s team, whose skippers wish to compete in the championship, shall be nominated, for each heat, by their club in the space provided on the entry form.

          The Cruising and Power Yacht Committee may decline any entry without specifying any reason.

         

LODGEMENT OF ENTRIES:  Entries must be forwarded to Regatta Control Officer by e-mail to CPYC Regatta Controller unless otherwise advised.

 

4)      CLOSING DATES FOR ENTRIES:  Entries must be lodged by midnight on the following dates.  The closing date for entries may be extended by the Regatta Control Officer.

 

           Heat 1                 Tuesday          23 May

           Heat 2                 Tuesday          20 June

           Heat 3                 Tuesday          18 July

           Heat 4                 Tuesday          15 August

           Heat 5                 Tuesday          05 September

       

5)             SAILING INSTRUCTIONS – COURSES AND PROGRAMME.  It shall be the   responsibility of individual clubs to copy the relevant information supplied by the Regatta Control Officer and issue that information to their competitors.

 

6)           SPEEDS:  Nominated speeds must be from 5 to 15 knots.

 

7)      COMPLIANCE:  Every competing power yacht shall comply with the minimum marina requirements of their club of origin.

 

8)      SCORING SYSTEM FOR CHAMPIONSHIP:  In accordance with Rules 2014 Appendix 2, Clause 3.

 

9)      SCORING SYSTEM FOR TEAMS EVENTS:  In accordance with Rules 2014 Appendix 2, Clause 2 with all events completed to count.

 

10)    PROTESTS:  Any protests shall be lodged and heard in accordance with the Rules 2014. Please note the rules around seeking Redress and Protest for CPYC events have changed. Contestants are requested to consult the rules and follow the requirements and timing for written submissions

 

11)    PRIZES:  Pennants or other form of recognition for First, Second and Third places in both outright and handicap sections of the Championship and for nominated team members will be presented at the presentation dinners to be held after Heats 2, 4 and Prize Night.  Prizes and trophies will be presented at the Prize Night to be held on Friday 22nd September 2017 at Claremont Yacht Club.
